Over the last few days I have had a few visitors to the studio, tiny baby praying mantis. My daughter found a collection of eggs on an ornament in her bedroom and moved it into the studio because she didn't want it to hatch in her room, well it has hatched, I have seen about 10 of these tiny monsters, not sure how many there are!
This is a close up photo, the fabric he is sitting on is calico, not an evenweave.
Lovely stern look to this face, even with the colour.
